How long does it take?
Typically one pet portrait commission takes a week or so from start to finish.
Do you ship worldwide?
I'm able to ship anywhere in the states! Please check with me for international.
Can I request changes?
Anything can be changed at the sketch stage! After painting only small changes.
Can it be gift wrapped?
Yes! I can do gift wrapping. Let me know for rush deadlines and special notes.
Do you allow refunds?
Refunds are given if I must cancel the project, otherwise, once shipped, pay is final.
What types of animals?
All cat/dog breeds, and all creatures great and small. Wild animals/non pet art, too!
Understanding Pet Stories

The inspiration behind this pet painting of Smokey and Wispy starts almost a decade ago. In my hometown, before moving to Pennsylvania, I volunteered at a local cat shelter - the Valley Cat Haven. A few months before moving, I met two fluff balls: Fiddlehead and his sister, Daffodil.

These two were always cuddling up to one another, and I adopted them to keep them together. Now, they live with my sister and I, and Fiddlehead became Smokey while Daffodil became Wispy. In my painting, I referenced one of their naps and added details referencing the plants of their namesakes. The other details are reminiscent of wisps of smoke, and tendrils of vines.

It's always wonderful to hear the stories behind our pets! I'm looking forward to learning more about your pets, too. Tell me what their favorite pastimes are, and how you came to care for them. We can discuss ways to depict their personality and what details you notice throughout the time you spend with your pets. If you have a favorite decorative motif or border style (Celtic, PA Dutch, Sicilian Tile, Rosemaling, Embroidery...) we can include that, too.
